Rabbitfish Jewelry Make-Over Contest

Announcing a contest for Rabbitfish Jewelry! It's time for a new look. I have created three different logos for Rabbitfish Jewelry and you get to vote. The winning logo will go on the Etsy site as well as Facebook and Twitter profile pictures.

How is this a contest?

Here's how it works. You pick the logo you like best, then post a comment on the blog, or the Rabbitfish Jewelry Facebook page with your choice. You get one "entry" for the vote. You can get an additional entry for posting a link to this blog or my Etsy shop on your own blog or Facebook. (Just send me a link). Heck, do both, you can get an entry for each one.

The contest will run until next Friday, Feb. 4th and the winner will be announced on the 5th.

What's the prize? The winner will receive a $20 dollar Rabbitfish Jewelry gift certificate.

And now, the candidates:

Adopt-A-Dragon:Puff

Last week I posted that I would be starting Dragon Adoptions. The flock has grown beyond safe limits.

Enter this weeks featured dragon up for adoption:

Puff
Puff was acquired with his own biography picture book Puff the Magic Dragon upon his relocation from his village by the sea. The book has long since disappeared. Puff is a green dragon with a rather impish smile. He is of course, very well behaved and would certainly provide a new keeper with endless enjoyment. He gets along well with other dragons, dogs, cats and especially children. He is a congenial sort who enjoys origami and watching Jeopardy.

And Matilda, last week's featured dragon is still looking for a home.

If interested in either of these fine draconic friends, simply email me at rabbitfishjewelry@comcast.net. I will ship to you at no charge.

Dragon Adoptions: Free to a Good Home

In any habitat, sometimes the population grows too large. The draconic population of Chez Blume has grown quite rapidly and some of these plushie dragons are starting to feel rather claustrophobic. Add to that several of them being featured in the Wildcat's Lair resulting in a diva-ish culture. Some of the less famous dragons are starting to feel left out.

To alleviate this problem, I am putting several dragons up for adoption. That's right, for free, you can provide a home to a plush dragon in need of attention. I will post a picture of a dragon and some details about his/her habits and likes/dislikes. Just email me if you are interested. Don't be deterred if you don't live in the Richmond area. I will ship at no cost to you. It's a win-win!

(Anyone who knows me is aware of my plush dragon collection but I really have too many. I didn't want to send them to Goodwill or out with the AmVets stuff so, I thought a dragon adoption thing would be fun. And yes, I am serious about finding them a new place to live.)

Without further ado, let me introduce the first dragon up for adoption:

Matilda. She is a blue dragon who likes to watch reruns of Dr. Who and Torchwood. She also enjoys small-rodent tennis and has won several championships. Matilda would fit in well in a house with children and pets (though probably not rodent pets given her penchant for hitting them with a racket), and possibly other dragons though she can be shy at times. Matilda is house-trained and knows not to blow fire inside.

If you're interested in giving Matilda a home, send me an email to rabbitfishjewelry@comcast.net. First come, first served.

Don't despair if Matilda doesn't light your fire.. as it were. (haha.. couldn't resist). I will be posting other adoptees in the coming weeks.
